PARK Young Jae
The Honorable PARK Young Jae was born in Busan on February 5, 1969. Justice Park passed the 32nd National Judicial Examination in 1990 while still an undergraduate at the Seoul National University College of Law. He first began his judicial career in March 1996 as a judge of the Eastern Branch Court of the Seoul District Court.
Since then, he has served as a judge in a number of courts and has held positions in Supreme Court organizations, including the Seoul District Court, the Daejeon District Court, the Daejeon High Court, the National Court Administration (NCA), the Seoul High Court, the Suncheon Branch Court of the Gwangju District Court, the Judicial Research and Training Institute, the Seoul Central District Court, and the Busan High Court. His leadership roles include serving as Head of the NCA's Planning and Coordination Office and Vice Minister of the NCA. While serving as the presiding judge of the Seoul High Court, Justice Park was appointed to the Supreme Court as a justice on August 2, 2024.
During his 28-year career as a judge, Justice Park has presided over civil, criminal, and family cases. He is dedicated to ensuring everyone's right to a fair trial by conducting impartial proceedings. His unwavering commitment to serving those in need continues today, a promise he made when appointed to the bench nearly three decades ago.

He is especially widely known for demonstrating outstanding communication skills while serving as the Head of the NCA's Planning and Coordination Office and later as the Vice Minister of the NCA. Justice Park provided strong leadership of the NCA and successfully led diverse judicial policies that significantly improved the quality of judicial services to the public.
