TITLE National Chief Presiding Judges¡¯ Meeting Held

On March 15, 2024, the Supreme Court held the national Chief Presiding Judges’ meeting after a five-year suspension. The meeting was presided over by the Minister of National Court Administration. Thirty-four people attended the meeting, including the Chief Presiding Judges of courts at all levels. The Minister of National Court Administration invited Chief Judges in significant leadership positions, performing vital duties, to take the lead in ensuring the judiciary fulfills its original mission of providing speedy and fair trials. The Minister also encouraged the Chief Presiding Judges to listen to all the opinions of court members and the people through various channels. The attending Chief Presiding Judges of nationwide courts were briefed on major pending issues of the National Court Administration. Specifically, discussions were held on multiple trial and judicial administration matters, including promoting the long-term division of judges’ work to realize speedy and fair trials, promoting policies to enhance access to justice for the socially disadvantaged, such as the disabled, strengthening information security and personal information protection in the judiciary by checking the current status of the information system of the judiciary, and the progress of the next generation e-litigation and criminal e-litigation system construction project, as well as the expansion of services to view electronic copy records in criminal litigation.
