○ To mark the 10th anniversary of the implementation of the unification of the legal profession system, the National Court Administration, the Korean Bar Association, the Korean Association of Law Schools, and the Judicial Policy Research Institute jointly held a symposium under the theme of ‘Achievements and Challenges of the Unification of Legal Profession’ at the Supreme Court auditorium from 13:30 to 18:00 on Friday, July 14, 2023.

▣ Significance of the Symposium and Plan
○ This symposium is meaningful in that it provided an opportunity to ponder and discuss the achievements and limitations of the ten years of operating the unification of the legal profession system and tasks to entrench the system successfully with experts in various fields.
○ In addition, the agenda discussed in this symposium will strengthen cooperation among related institutions to develop improvement measures to successfully entrench and operate the unification of the legal profession system.
○ The Supreme Court of Korea will do its utmost to realize fair and efficient trials that meet the public's expectations by appointing judges with legal qualifications and good character and by creating personnel, physical, and institutional conditions. |
