¡Û The Supreme Court will hold a ceremony to mark the Court’s Day of Korea on September 13, 2023, from 10:00 am at the main hall of the Supreme Court (2F). All events will be live-streamed in real-time via the Supreme Court YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/live/PvplBVdskh4?si-fF5Fn9WDKLuWNUox).
¡Û Since 2015, the Supreme Court has designated September 13 as the Court’s Day of Korea to celebrate the importance of judicial independence and renew the court’s role in the judiciary and judges’ mandate.
¡Û This year’s ceremony will be streamlined live as an internal event with the participation of judges and court officials. The ceremony will begin with saluting the national flag, playing a video clip commemorating the Court’s Day, awarding the service commendation and remarks by the Chief Justice, and performances of the Choir of the Incheon District Court.
¡Û The official commendation of the Chief Justice will be given to those who contributed to improving the court and enhancing the legal culture. This year’s awardees were CHUNG Euichul, the late Judge of Ulsan District Court; KYUNG Minsung, Junior Clerk of Court for registration at the National Court Administration, KIM Seoyoung, Junior Clerk of Court at Suwon Family Court, KO Sunmi, Researcher for Archive of Court Library, YANG Mi, Assistant Clerk of Court for Court Security at Seoul High Court, WON Taeyoung, Expert Guardian of Seoul Family Court, YOON Soondeok, Enforcement officer of Jeonju District Court.
