1.   President Elvia Barrios Albarado of the Supreme Court of Peru visited Korea from May 22-28, 2022 upon the invitation of Chief Justice KIM Myeong-su to expand judicial exchanges and  strengthen cooperation between the Supreme Courts of Korea and Peru.

2. President Barrios visited various institutions starting from the Supreme Court of Korea on May 23 to pay a courtesy call on Chief Justice Kim and the Supreme Court IT Center on the same day; Seoul High Court on May 24; Judicial Research and Training Institute on May 25; Supreme Court Registration Data Center, National Information Resources Service of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety on May 26; Korean National Police Agency, the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office on May 27; and left for Peru on May 28.

3. President Barrios’ visit is expected to serve as an occasion to further enhance mutual understanding between the judiciaries of Korea and Peru and pave the way for active judicial exchanges between the heads of the two judiciaries commensurate with the prestige and the significance of the Supreme Courts of Korea and Peru.
